Written Instructions Only:

Begin by chaining any number of chains. There is NO MULTIPLE for this crochet stitch. Alternatively, you could begin by completing any number of Foundation Half Double Crochet stitches (if you choose this option, begin the HHDC in Row 2).

Row 1 – Herringbone Half Double Crochet Stitch:

Begin by working into the 2nd chain from the crochet hook. YO and insert the hook into the 2nd chain from the hook.

Now YO again and pull through the stitch. There will be 3 loops of yarn on the crochet hook at this point.

Finally, YO and pull through the remaining 2 loops on the crochet hook. This completes 1 Herringbone Half Double Crochet Stitch.

Now continue in the same manner for the remaining chains for this row.
